Cyfle Building Skills
About the client
Cyfle Building Skills is an award-winning shared apprenticeship provider, playing a vital role in developing the construction workforce across Wales. The organisation works closely with employers, training providers, and funders to create high-quality apprenticeship opportunities and promote careers in construction.
We have supported Cyfle for more than four years, providing comprehensive PR and marketing support as the organisation has grown in scale, profile, and impact. Our role has been to help Cyfle clearly communicate its mission, showcase its achievements, and engage effectively with apprentices, employers, partners, and stakeholders.
The brief
Cyfle engaged us to deliver ongoing, professional marketing and communications support that would reflect the organisation’s importance within the construction and skills sectors. The brief covered everything from brand and website development to PR, social media, print design, and milestone campaigns.
A key objective was to raise awareness of Cyfle’s Shared Apprenticeship Scheme and wider initiatives, strengthen engagement with stakeholders and funders, and ensure the organisation’s growing success was communicated clearly and consistently across all channels.

Our approach
We have worked with Cyfle on a long-term, strategic basis, acting as an extension of the team and managing all aspects of PR and marketing activity.
Early in the partnership, we supported the development of Cyfle’s website, ensuring it clearly communicated the organisation’s purpose, programmes, and impact. We also designed a dedicated brand for Cyfle’s South West Wales Onsite Hub initiative, creating a strong visual identity that could be used across digital and print materials and helping distinguish the project within the wider skills landscape.
We took responsibility for all blog content and social media activity, including setting up Cyfle’s social media channels and managing them on an ongoing basis. This included creating and publishing regular content that highlighted apprentices, employers, events, funding announcements, and sector developments, helping Cyfle build a strong and consistent online presence.
Alongside digital content, we designed a wide range of marketing materials, including flyers, posters, folders, and business cards, ensuring Cyfle’s branding was applied consistently and professionally across every touchpoint.
A major milestone in our work together was Cyfle surpassing 1,000 apprentices on its Shared Apprenticeship Scheme. To mark this achievement, we organised the production of professional video content that captured the scale and significance of the milestone, featuring apprentices and showcasing the impact of the scheme.
More recently, we helped publicise this achievement on a national level, arranging broadcast media coverage with BBC and S4C. This brought widespread attention to Cyfle’s success and reinforced its reputation as a leading shared apprenticeship provider in Wales.
We also design, write, and produce Cyfle’s quarterly printed newsletter — a four-page publication that provides a comprehensive round-up of the organisation’s activity. The newsletter is distributed to stakeholders, partners, and funders, offering clear insight into progress, achievements, and ongoing initiatives, and helping maintain strong relationships with key audiences.
The outcome
Our long-standing partnership with Cyfle has supported the organisation through a period of significant growth and increasing recognition. Through consistent PR, strong branding, engaging content, and proactive media relations, we have helped raise Cyfle’s profile locally, regionally, and nationally.
The organisation now benefits from a clear and confident voice across its communications, a recognisable and trusted brand, and strong visibility for its programmes and achievements. The successful promotion of the 1,000-apprentice milestone, including national broadcast coverage, demonstrated Cyfle’s impact and reinforced its value to funders, partners, and the wider construction industry.
By providing end-to-end marketing and PR support over several years, we have helped Cyfle Building Skills tell its story effectively, celebrate its successes, and continue championing high-quality apprenticeship opportunities across Wales.
